This is one module of a five part series on mentorship skills for experienced pilots.

Tools: Articulate Rise 360, Canva using the Articulate media content library. It includes technical elements such as markers, flashcards, accordions, scenarios, and a quiz.

Audience: Experienced pilots volunteered to participate in a mentoring program because they each stated that they wanted to help other pilots grow professionally. These learners have not participated in effective mentoring techniques, and have 5+ years and over 10 K flight hours.

Business Purpose: Overall employment of airline and commercial pilots is projected to grow 13 percent from 2020 to 2030, faster than the average for all occupations. About 14,500 openings for airline and commercial pilots are projected each year, on average, over the decade.

Allen Airlines is implementing a mentor program for newly hired pilots with less flight hours (i.e. less hours= less experience); thereby supporting pilot professional growth, pilot job satisfaction, and pilot retainment in order to decrease airline cancellations and delays due to pilot staffing.
